Thank you for reading. I must add that knowing the dangers is just the first step. Acting on it is another issue. I’m finding it hard to break my strong bond with my phone, which I guess was developed in the many years of it being my close and constant companion. For instance, I have to take a conscious decision to leave my phone on the doorstep when I’m out pottering around our little garden. Even then, my hand instinctively still goes to my hip when I want to check the time. And there’s a real feeling of loss at the moment that I realise it’s not in my pocket. All this despite my being strongly motivated to break my phone habit.
