Thank you, I appreciate any response in whatever form. I guess most people who write, feel the same as it sort of validates what we do. Having said that, I used to find it odd when people ‘like’ a sad announcement on FB, so you do raise a valid point. I guess it’s the gesture that counts, and not the literal meaning of ‘thank you’ or ‘claps' or whatever.

Anyway, once the surgery was over, I didn’t want to talk of it or be reminded of it in any way, and I never did tell anyone this story till now. Somehow my younger me reminds me of my dog who used to always disappear under the chair in a flash whenever the vet visited our farm (he once broke his leg and the vet had a cast put on it). That’s exactly what I would have liked to do during my visits to the doctor!
